Studio Policies & Frequently Asked Questions: How young can my child start dance classes? We offer “You & Me” classes for dancers under the age of 3, with a guardian. This is a parent-assisted class where a guardian is required to actively participate and help facilitate the learning experience. Grown-ups will lead and follow alongside the instructor—participating in basic stretches and floorwork, guiding their dancer through classroom routines, and working collaboratively with the teacher to build trust and confidence. No dance attire needed; ballet shoes encouraged. Independent dance classes begin at age 3 (dancers must be fully potty-trained). Your dancer must meet the age guidelines for class by December 31st of the season. How long is the dance season? Our dance season starts Monday, August 4, 2025 and ends Saturday, June 27, 2026. This is a total of 47 weeks, but we only bill for 44 weeks, due to 3 weeks of studio closures (Winter Break & Spring Break). No make-up classes are offered for these 3 weeks, referred to as “No Class Days” (NCD). For other days in which the studio is closed, such as Labor Day and Memorial Day, make-up classes are available. These are referred to as “Make Up Days” (MUD). Please see the ADFS Studio Calendar for studio closures throughout the season. Use the ADFS Make-up Class Request Form to schedule a make-up class. What is the Registration Fee? Our Registration Fee is a $35 charge per dancer for enrolling in a dance season. The fee helps cover administrative and setup costs like class placement, communication tools, and registration processing. Register before the “early bird” deadline and the fee is waived. All registrations must be complete for registration fee to be waived by “early bird” deadline; late additions will be subject to the registration fee at the discretion of Studio Owner. Do you offer discounts? Yes. ADFS is proud to offer the following tuition discounts: Family Discount: After the first enrolled family member, each additional household member receives a 10% tuition discount. Proof of residency and dependency may be requested at the discretion of the Studio Owner. Military Discount: Active-duty and veteran military households receive a 10% total tuition discount in recognition of their service. Please note: Only one discount may be applied per household. September Tuition will charge on August 25th). If you prefer to pre-pay with cash or check, please do so before the 25th of the month. Tuition is non-refundable.
