ADFS DANCE PERFORMANCES: WINTER BALLET & SHOWCASE (November 21-22, 2025). ADFS is proud to offer a unique winter ballet opportunity mid-season for students and their families. Participation is optional, and all ballet rehearsals are done outside of regularly scheduled classes (Saturday afternoons). The winter ballet provides our dancers with additional stage opportunities and a chance to collaborate with dancers outside of their scheduled dance classes. A commitment letter will be sent home with your dancer as well as sent via email. ADFS Winter Showcase invites ALL ADFS dancers to perform during Act I of our Winter Ballet performance. Dancers will learn choreography in class and be invited to perform for family & friends. More information to come. END-OF-SEASON RECITAL (May 9, 2026): The recital is a “rite of passage” for dancers to shine onstage. It presents their year of hard work, dedication, and progress. A key part of the dance training process includes learning through performance, which builds self-esteem, self-assurance, and contributes to confidence. While performance prepares some dancers for a future in dance or theater, it also contributes to success in other areas, such as enhanced school presentations, improved social skills, and strong interview skills for future college and job opportunities. The rehearsal process develops retention and teamwork skills. Recital commitments are a team effort; dancers and parents are key to its success. Participation is optional but strongly encouraged. Recital information will be shared via email later in the dance season. Recital costs are in addition to ADFS monthly tuition and will be detailed in your ADFS Recital Commitment Letter. The ADFS Recital Handbook will follow as your guide for the recital process. ADFS STAR STUDENTS: ADFS values positive behavior and work ethic as we strive to fulfill our mission of delivering quality education in a positive and inspirational way. ADFS Star Students are recognized throughout the season by demonstrating the attributes below: Attitude: pleasant, happy, encouraging posture and behavior. Discipline: adhering to dress code and the ADFS classroom rules. Focus: working hard and trying your best in class. Success: mastering a new skill or showing tenacity in your dance training. ADFS Student of the Month: At our studio, we love to celebrate our dancers’ achievements, big and small. Each month, we recognize one dancer as our Student of the Month—a dancer who consistently demonstrates hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude in class.
