ADFS RULES & Expectations: CLASSROOM RULES. The following rules will be enforced in all classes to keep our dancers safe and focused while creating the discipline expected at a dance school. NO: 1. Talking. 2. Touching. 3. Sitting. 4. Leaving. 5. Excuses. 3 STRIKES POLICY: Strike 1: A verbal warning will be given for breaking any classroom rules. Strike 2: A verbal warning with acknowledgement that 3rd strike is dismissal from class. Strike 3: Dismissal of dancer to Front Desk; dancer and staff will complete a Dancer Dismissal Notice. The Studio Owner will be notified, and a disciplinary meeting will be scheduled. The CCSD Code of Conduct will serve as a guideline for any events or incidents not detailed. Please help us maintain our professional and positive atmosphere by only discussing disciplinary issues with the studio owner. COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL AT ADFS: Chain of Command: At ADFS, we value open and respectful communication to ensure a happy and healthy learning environment for all our students. If you have a question or concern regarding a classroom matter, we kindly ask that you follow the appropriate chain of command to maintain privacy and efficiency. Avoid Lobby Discussions: Please refrain from discussing sensitive topics openly in the lobby or directly with your dancer’s Instructor. Between-class times do not provide adequate opportunity for instructors to properly address concerns, as they are immediately transitioning to the next class. In the case of an urgent situation, the Front Desk will step in to assist and guide the appropriate course of action. While our Instructors care deeply about your dancer’s progress and well-being, all coaching and direction must come directly from the Studio Owner. Therefore, all classroom-related concerns should first be addressed with the Front Desk or Studio Owner. Notify the Front Desk: If you have a concern, please notify a Front Desk representative. You may be asked to complete a Concern Report Form to help us gather all the appropriate details. If you prefer not to share your concern in person, you may email MissJill@adfslv.com directly. Follow-Up and Resolution Timeline: Non-emergent matters will be addressed within 24–48 business hours. Highly sensitive matters will be addressed in a timely and appropriate manner, as determined by the Studio Owner. For urgent or highly sensitive concerns, you may email MissJill@adfslv.com directly, and a private meeting will be scheduled. Staff Communication: All questions or concerns regarding individual dancers, casting, or studio policies must be directed to Miss Jill. ADFS staff are not authorized to discuss these topics with parents without prior approval. This ensures consistency, fairness, and professionalism in all communication. Zero Tolerance for Gossip or Defamation: ADFS has a zero tolerance policy for slander, gossip, or any form of negative speech—verbal, written, or online—toward staff, dancers, or the studio. Such behavior harms our community and contradicts the values we uphold. Any conduct that undermines the integrity of our studio may result in disciplinary action, including possible dismissal from our programs. We are committed to fostering a culture of kindness, respect, and open communication. Thank you for helping us protect the positive environment that defines ADFS. ATTENDANCE AND MAKE-UP CLASS POLICY AT ADFS: If your dancer will be absent from class, please log the absence through your Studio Pro Parent Portal to notify ADFS. You may schedule a make-up class for the missed lesson within two weeks, in another class of the same level, and within the same season using the ADFS Make-Up Class Request Form. Please note: Regular attendance is essential for the progression of your dancer and the entire class. ADFS reserves the right to refuse a make-up if class sizes do not allow for additional students. A doctor’s note may be requested in cases of frequent absences. ADFS reserves the right to deny make-up classes or dismiss a student from class if more than three consecutive absences occur without communication. No refunds will be issued. Absences do not count toward the required 30-day written notice to cancel enrollment. Families are responsible for all tuition charges until a written cancellation is submitted and acknowledged. Make-ups cannot be guaranteed during recital preparation season. Similarly, a class may not be available for make-up if the class is full. Commitment to consistent attendance during this time ensures the success of your dancer and our show. We appreciate your support in making dance a priority and for helping us maintain a productive and positive classroom environment for all.
