Calling all moms, dads, and caretakers! Share special time with your little one as they explore movement, music, and fun in a welcoming environment. This is a parent-assisted class where a guardian is required to actively participate and help facilitate the learning experience. Grown-ups will lead and follow alongside the instructor—participating in basic stretches and floorwork, guiding their dancer through classroom routines, and working collaboratively with the teacher to build trust and confidence. No dance attire needed; ballet shoes encouraged. Please come ready to move & groove with your child!

Level I: 1st-2nd Grade & 3rd Grade new to dance (6-8 Years Old)
Hip-Hop dancing is evolving this very moment! Dancers are encouraged to let loose and have fun. Hip hop combines street dance styles primarily performed to hip hop music or that have evolved as part of hip hop culture. It is influenced by a wide range of styles that were created in the 1970s and made popular by dance crews in the United States. Dancers may wear comfortable and moveable clothing or athletic wear. Level dancers must be enrolled in a minimum of 2 classes. Uniform: Black Pastry Pop Tart Hip-Hop shoes. (2022)

Level I: 1st-2nd Grade & 3rd Grade new to dance (6-8 Years Old)
Tap dancing is the combination of sounds and rhythms characterized by using the sounds of tap shoes striking the floor as a form of percussion. Dancers will be instructed in both Broadway and Rhythm Style tap dancing, in addition to focusing on tap performance. Level dancers must be enrolled in a minimum of 2 classes. Uniform: Black leotard, jazz shorts or leggings, black lace-up tap shoes. (2022)

Contemporary dance is a style of expressive dance that combines elements of several dance genres including modern, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet. Contemporary dancers strive to connect the mind and the body through fluid dance movements. Contemporary dance stresses versatility and improvisation, unlike the strict, structured nature of ballet. Contemporary dancers focus on floorwork, using gravity to pull them down to the floor. Level dancers must be enrolled in a minimum of 2 classes. Uniform: Black leotard, jazz shorts, bare feet or black socks. (2022)

Ballet is a performance dance that has provided the foundational techniques which are used in many other dance genres and cultures. For strong dance technique, ballet classes are highly encouraged and prioritized for our dancers. A combination of Russian, Cecchetti, and Vaganova methods will be used to train the dancers to properly execute all styles of dance including acro, jazz, contemporary and lyrical. Level dancers must be enrolled in a minimum of 2 classes. Uniform: Black leotard, pink tights, and pink canvas/leather ballet shoes. Hair must be in a clean bun. Hair kits may be purchased at the Front Desk; messy buns are unacceptable. (2022)

Jazz Funk takes elements from HipHop, Jazz, and walking dance styles to create a fun and outgoing style of dance commonly seen on TV and popular shows. Jazz Funk blends styles of dance and moves very quickly, focusing primarily on choreography, not dance technique, so dancers must be enrolled in two other classes of dance; ballet and jazz are encouraged. Level dancers must be enrolled in a minimum of 2 classes. (2022)

Lyrical dance is a combination of ballet and jazz techniques that trains the art of telling a story through dance. Dancers will learn to express emotion with their faces and bodies reflecting the story told by song lyrics. Ballet and/or jazz class enrollment is encouraged for lyrical dancers. Level dancers must be enrolled in a minimum of 2 classes. Uniform: Black leotard, nude paws, and ballet skirt or jazz shorts. Ballet class strongly encouraged. (2022)
